Motorcycle Accident Claim and Insurance-Authorised Workshop in Singapore
Ban Hock Hin is an insurance-authorised motorcycle workshop in Singapore that manages the entire process after an accident: reporting, repair, and filing your insurance claim with multiple insurers. Rather than coordinating separately with your insurer, a tow service, and a motorcycle repair shop, you bring your motorcycle to a single location and we manage the rest.
Our service team prepares accurate repair estimates, documented diagnostics, and clear maintenance records for both you and your insurer, ensuring your motorcycle accident claim proceeds without unnecessary delay. One workshop, one process, handled by specialists who work on motorcycles every day.
That service is backed by real reach. We are an authorised workshop for at least eight motorcycle insurance companies in Singapore, with more being added to the panel.

- Owner's NRIC (if different from the rider)
- Insurance certificate or policy details
- Police report, if one was made
- Vehicle log card
- Medical bills or MC, if anyone was injured
How We Handle Your Claim
Once your motorcycle is with us, we manage your claim from start to finish, so there’s no need for you to follow up with multiple parties.
The process is straightforward: we complete the accident report and e-filing with your insurer, assess the damage and injuries, and prepare an itemised repair estimate. From there, we liaise and negotiate directly with the insurer or their appointed surveyor on your behalf. Once the repair is approved, we carry out the work and, in most cases, settle directly with the insurer. At every stage, we keep you informed until the claim is closed.
▣ Who Pays for the Repairs?
For most claims we settle directly with your insurer, which means the insurer pays BHH and you avoid paying the full repair bill upfront. On an own-damage claim, you typically pay only your policy excess. On a third-party claim, compensation is recovered from the at-fault party’s insurer, so there’s usually no excess for you to pay.
The exact amount depends on the terms of your policy, and we will confirm it with you before any work begins. Where your motorcycle is insured with one of our authorised insurers, no reporting fees or charges apply for lodging your accident report with us.
◷ How Long Does a Claim Take?
As a general guide, own-damage claims are often settled within about two to four weeks, provided the required parts are readily available. Where parts need to be sourced or are delayed, this timeline can extend. Third-party claims tend to take longer, since they involve another party’s insurer and their own assessment. Every case is different, so timelines can vary, and we’ll keep you posted at each step rather than leave you guessing.

What is an authorised workshop?
Workshop appointed by the insurance company to do the repair work after an accident.
Likewise, you can go to your preferred workshop if you have opted for Any Workshop, usually with an additional premium.
Which authorised workshop in Singapore accepts Income Insurance, MSIG, or DirectAsia claims?
BHH is an authorised motorcycle workshop and reporting centre for Tokio Marine, MSIG, Direct Asia, and Budget Direct. We are also an authorised reporting centre for NTUC Income, FWD, Sompo Insurance, Great American, EQ Insurance, and First Capital. If your bike is covered by any of them, you can report your accident and have your claim filed directly through us.
Not sure whether your insurer is on our panel? Call us on +(65) 6281-6520 and we’ll confirm right away.
How long do I have to lodge a claim?
All accidents should be reported to insurance companies within 24 hours, or by the next working day.
You can contact us for insurance claims representatives at our hotline +(65) 6281-6520 for more advice.
If the accident happens on the weekend, does the 24 hours rule still apply?
The MCF states that the end of the next working day is the timeframe for reporting, meaning if the accident happens on a Saturday night, then Monday would be the next working day.
Can I choose my own workshop for accident repair?
When it comes to repairs auto insurance companies generally prefer you to choose from their own list of authorised workshops, as this cuts down on their costs. This means that you tend to pay a cheaper premium if you opt for the bike insurer’s authorised workshop as opposed to your own garage or dealer’s workshop. That said, there are some circumstances in which you may want to pay extra to use your own workshop.
Will there be fees or charges for inspection, survey and accident e-filing process?
If you bring your accident motorcycle vehicles which were insured and appointed by the list of insured companies to our workshop, there are no fees or charges involved in the reporting process.
Are all services appointment-based?
Appointment is always preferred, but you can also walk in. However, the duration of the servicing will be dependent on our availability.
